Strengthening Identity Through Simplicity
The Breief
The project aimed to reinforce Nuba Restaurant’s existing architectural identity rather than replace it. The objective was to establish a stronger dialogue between the space and its users through a simplified and cohesive design language. By creating a more harmonious material and spatial palette, the intervention sought to enhance the restaurant’s welcoming character while improving the overall guest experience.
Scope of Work
The scope involved evaluating the existing spatial framework and developing an interior design strategy that would strengthen its architectural qualities. Through spatial planning, material selection, atmosphere design, and visual refinement, the project focused on creating a coherent environment that supports intuitive circulation and a seamless hospitality experience. Every design decision was made to improve the relationship between the user and the space while preserving the venue’s established identity.
The result is a calm, cohesive, and inviting interior environment that builds upon the strengths of the existing space. A restrained material palette and carefully considered spatial interventions create a stronger sense of continuity, allowing guests to move through the restaurant naturally while experiencing a more welcoming and memorable atmosphere.
